When I go to Sky football I get this message from tuguu slu

You are currently browsing the web with and your Video Player might be outdated

Please update to the latest version for better performance

I then get an agreement, luckily I think my noscript stopped it running.

any ideas?

Sky player requires an uptodate silverline player. Everything all up to date

Sounds pretty dodgy imho. Best I can tell from a quick search, Tuguu SL are a publisher of a 'monetization platform' that some publishers use to display pop up ads on your PC to make extra money, but most consider it malware especially as it often comes sneakily bundled along with something legit that you did want to install.

What video player do you use anyway? If you're ever unsure of pop ups like that, don't go with the advice in case it's fake so instead you can go and check for updates yourself by going to the website of whoever makes your video playback software and downloading the newest version if required. EG Videolan for VLC, Microsoft for Windows Media Player, Adobe for Flash updates, etc.

Probably did stop it running, NoScript is worth it's weight in gold though be aware on the newest version there is a whitelist of allowed sites in the options that they've started adding sites to, some sensible choices EG for YouTube (handy for noobs) and banking things like SecureCode and PayPal but also some I'd never heard of so you may want to prune the list. You just have to select the anything you don't want to automatically allow and then delete it, you can always re-add anything later in the usual way if you delete anything you end up needing.

Nice one Con

I deleted everything on that list and will just start again.

I ran my microsoft essentials, malwarebytes and eset online all with nothing. So I guess NoScript did its job again

You're welcome. :geek:

It looks like it did, and given you're thorough checks and there's still no infection showing then you should be good to go.
