As the title indicates Disney have bought LucasArts and intend to do an Episode 7. The deal will net cash srapped George $4billion.

Dont want a 7th SW movie, but if it goes ahead Lucas may not be involed which would be great.

A seventh movie would be great... if Lucs isn't involved in it

You know what Paks like. He's probably voted JSP for woman of the year or something.

Disney acquires Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion, LucasArts included

by Jordan Mallory Writer - Joystiq

Disney has just announced its purchase of Lucasfilm Limited, the umbrella corporation responsible for all things Star Wars, Indiana Jones and pretty much anything else George Lucas has ever had his hand in. The purchase will set ol' Walt back $4.05 billion.

Industrial Light & Magic, Skywalker Sound and LucasArts are all included in the purchase price, meaning that Disney has not only found a way to profit from the production of movies that it isn't making, but also how to get Jar-Jar Binks into a Kingdom Hearts game.

The company also announced that Star Wars 7 exists and is aiming for a 2015 release date, which makes this the most insane thing ever. Lucasfilm co-chairman Kathleen Kennedy will become president of Lucasfilm under Disney, and will also act as executive producer on "new Star Wars feature films, with George Lucas serving as creative consultant."

I dunno what he spends it all on, but every time I read about George Lucas he's "strapped for cash", then he earns a few billion but it never lasts long before he sells something else... just what the hell he does with it all I can't imagine!

Presumably he's trying to genetically engineer a wookie with which he can mate.

Probably. Hopefully this $4Bn. will bring it to reality 'cause I don't think he's got anything left to sell after this.

Disney seem to have taken the lot... films, special effects and the games as well as the famous name, and they're talking about making new films every other year and all sorts once they get it ramped up so I can see them getting their money back fairly soon.

The comments tend to be tongue in cheek. The guy is rolling in it. He was getting 100% of all Star Wars merchandise sales thanks to an incredibly bad decision by Fox (regardless of how successful the movie turned out).
