End of Watch (2012) - Great documentary drama/ film about a couple of cops fighting crime in an LA district. Starring Jake Gyllenhall (sp). Really enjoyed this - 8/10

I thought that was a bit rubbish when I saw it a couple of months ago... only a 6/10 at best for me.

Average film :p

Watched The Losers a few weeks back. Now that was an enjoyable light-hearted action film 8/10.

World War Z

Preposterous, but enjoyable. Don't bother seeing in 3D, completely unnecessary.

Score: 6.95/10.

Silver Linings Playbook.

Thought this was great. Bradley Cooper was really good, Jennifer Lawrence was even better..and you know, she's Jennifer Lawrence which aint no bad thing. Funny and warm I'd say.
I'd give it an 8.5

Man of steel 2013 : Imo overall not bad but it seriously lacked a genuine story but again i havent followed any comics of superman.I expected same kind of enjoyment as i had with Batman TDKR but for graphics FXeffects and just being Superman i will give it 6/10.

Oblivion (2013): What a boring shi8 movie , will give 4/10 for graphics UI.

Pacific Rim (2013): If you are fan of transformer / Power Rangers sequel then its for you. This time nothing is coming from space its kaije water aliens who are swamping the earth against robots controlled through neuro of 2 humans.I wiuld give it 6/10.

Schindlers List (1993) : My friend recommended to me as i like watching War Movies based on true events. Its Jew Camp (again) in Poland and a business man (liam neeson), running crockery factory, who despite being greedy/opportunist mananges to save 1100 Jews.Movie is about 3 hours and half but worth it. 9/10 for me.

Schindlers is a great film Pak. Have you watched all quiet on the western front? WWI film believe it was based on either a journalist or English Tutor conscript from the States, but good film also. Finally whilst it's a comedy series Blackadder goes forth is another great WWI setting. However more fiction than fact.

Oh and the as for films I watched:

Look who's talking, loads funnier than I remembered, but probably due to getting the adult humour this time. Solid late 80's comedy - 6/10

Look who's talking too - sequel to the above, not as funny and too much focused on the 'bonding' storyline - 4/10

Fun Size - Nickelodeon film that the GF and I were worried about having chosen. No need to be. Laughs aplenty be they obvious or subtle. Great comedy film worth a respectable 8/10

Lastly Bad News Bears - Billy Bob Thornton appearing to reprise the role from bad Santa with a little extra background (ex Baseball Major Pitcher) not as predictable as first thought. Some amazing one liners and full on scenes for the laughs. Not as funny as Fun Size and obviously sentimental American guff but 7/10, possibly just for BBT!

The original Bad News Bears from the late 70s with Walter Matthau is better IMHO

There are 2 releases of all quiet on western front. One in 1930 and second in 1979. Which oneyou recommend? ?

I saw the 1979 one, but in most of these instances the Original tends to be the better.

Get both, they'll be small files as are long before HD technologies, and both would be worth a watch.

I tend to really enjoy films that you've stated. There are a few more modern conflict ones, Thin Red Line, Once were soldiers. Both of those were good films for me. Also Flags of our fathers and Letters from Iwo Jiima are also very good films.

Got both version but luckily 1930 version was available in HD around 6 GB and i have all the three films you have stated.Platoon, longest day and full metal jacket are other flicks worth mentioning.

Keep recommending if i have missed out any good film.

Have you watched 12 Angry men? ? i think its 1950s movie but worth watching and its not on war.

Finally got round to watching Fight Club after hearing one of my friends raving about it for years. Vastly overrated film.

Spoiler:
Saw the twist coming a mile off.

The first rule of fight club is: don't bother watching fight club. It's sh!t.

3/10.

Hmm I think it was 2 Guns - decent cop drugs undercover stuff. It had a few loopholes but overall a good 7.5/10
