There are lots of bargains in the Spanish league, good players with a low minimum fee release clauses.

There is, and even Mata from Valencia was on the Transfer List, £1.8M but he didn't want to come. :( I'm a london team, surely they all want that glamour?

I think its time to start a file with a poor team, decided its going to be Burton Albion - Media prediction is 7th, but in real life they're topping the league by 17 points.

Does anyone know if they've got rid of some PPMs (player preferred moves)? 'Dictates Tempo' and 'Comes deep to get ball' seem to have disappeared.

Well that was nice of them

Did they suddenly decide there's no such thing as a playmaker?

Thank god they've kept ''runs with ball down the right'' though, otherwise my right winger who has ''run with ball'' on often wouldn't have a clue what he was supposed to be doing

New patch released today, or at least, my steam updated it today. Has, as you would expect, all the transfers etc in it. Big Phil is gone from the start as Chelsea manager, etc etc. Just thought you all should know, especially anyone not using steam who didn't know.

Cheers will do that soon then - I am ashamed to admit, i've taken City to being the best team in Europe - Although my team consist of no City players, that makes it okay, right?

Best Starting 11

Rene Adler

Srna
Zhirkov
Caceras
Zapata

Ben Arfa
Veloso
Hamsik

Pandev
Bojan
Ageuro

I do have Richards in the squad but he wont make it in to double figures

That in no way, shape, or form makes it alright. It's not the players that are the problem in the first place (except Bellamy who's hated pretty universally), it's the club... you sir, are a traitor of the highest order, and are hereby sentenced to 1 year in a Man City shirt!!

Liverpool finished 4th but only get Uefa Cup football because Arsenal, who finished 5th, won the CL. :haha:

But that's not how it worked in real life

That's how it works now though after the Liverpool-Everton debacle from last time!

Massive Blyth Spartans Challenge underway. Was predicted to finish bottom of BSN when I first started and managed to finish 18th and exceed expectations. Following season, 2009/2010, wasn't expecting much more to be honest. Finished top and got through to FA Cup 2nd round!

This season in BSP is a joke tbh. Even if I was in BSN I would be expecting midtable at best. Managing to pick up the odd win here and there bt am 22nd at December 2010. :coffee:

If you get a couple of quality loan signings in and play the right tactics (long ball :razz) you should be able to get out of the BSP fairly quicky

Damn study month and exams, have to leave my game until the end of may :( And, I had a great game going. A fella at work said we should both start as Blackburn, and see how we do, compared to eachother. I felt I was doing really well, finishing 4th, 3rd, 4th, 3rd and 2nd. Brought in Wilshire and Merida from Arsenal, Ireland from City, and Fallaini, who was at Valencia at the time, but never got a game, so got him for 6mil. Then, brought in Saivet for 2.5m. After the lad at work left for Real, I decided I needed to move on aswell.

Funnily enough, as soon as I left my post at Blackburn, no less than 6 coaching staff left with me, including Oiijer, Tugay and Speed, who I eventually brought with me. Anyway, I saw the Milan job was vavant, and applied, only to be snubbed in favour of Rijkaard. Well, I am making them pay for that. Saw Mourinho was under pressure at Inter, declared interest, next day, Mourinho sacked, day after, I got the job. When I left it at home, I was with 9 games left, and 12 points ahead, no losses. Am a tad disappointed, if I am to be honest, since I got there, and noticed an unbelievable amount of CRAP in the team, mainly CM's, there were 8 in the first team when I arrived, only 4 of which were any way decent.

I now dislike Martin O'Neil, who took over from Blackburn after me. I offered in excess of 50m for Saivet, and they wont sell, and the lad is/will be class. Over 20 times the price i bought him for, and they reject outright. Damn you O'Neill!
