Those officials that stand on the byline make me rage.

Near side linesman having a shocker too, missing two offsides (one leading up to that goal-line clearance)

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand on Twitter: "That is karma for what happened to us in South Africa..."

Did England play Ukraine in South Africa?

apparantly 2 wrongs make a right

....will we see a tabloid outrage at the unfairness of it all?

....pretty certain ITV will prove he was offside so everything's fine, then top it off with 'England could win this'

Did look offside. Looked alright tonight, thought Young was much much better. Rooney was poor/rusty but got the goal so cant complain too much..though the miss was ridiculous. Gerrard was good too.

Everything went better than expected today, we've even topped the group which means we won't be the ones who'll lose to Spain in the quarter finals.

Hmm. I thought Young and Milner were just w@nk due to Young's Nani-esque decision making and Milner's abject ability to play an attacking move.

High points: Gerrard - the cross that led to the goal was assisted by a Ukranian testicle, a Ukranian foot and a Ukranian hand, but he was the only player who seemed to see a pass, and the Football gods who sent us those goal line assistants.

Hard to criticism the officials slow motion replays showed it was just in hard for human eye to be 100% certain in those situations. Just further justifies the need for technology to help get these decisions right.

I thought Young was pretty poor struggled to get in the game and was forced back.

I agree Gerrard was class he's been great for us so far playing a more disciplined role sacrificing his natural instincts to attack for the team.

Well..Young put that cross spot on to Rooney's head. I think he put in one or two other decent crosses too, had a decentish effort deflect out for a corner too. Other than that I didnt think he used the ball too badly and he was doing a lot of defensive duties tracking back. Seems harsh on him..

Love the tinge of bitterness.

Thought Young did ok. For the first time in a long time, Gerrard was very good.

Don't you tend to support Germany at international level, even though you're from Manchester? At least I'm half English. :p
